As the school year is fast approaching (or here depending on where you teach), it got me thinking about a custom we usually reserve for the start of a new calendar year; the New Years Resolution. Many people will make dietary commitments, exercise promises, and monetary pacts. Of course through the new year is paved with broken promises. There are, however, feel-good stories from people that hold fast. Given the tradition of resolutions and the need for some feel-good moments, I challenge you to make a new school-year resolution.
What promise or commitment can you make here and now that you will hold fast to? What social pact are you willing to announce that will benefit the learning atmosphere inside your class or campus? Let’s take a few moments, reflect, project, and announce!
